Grapes/Uvas

Entendemos que en Espana es una costumbre de tratar de comer 12 uvas a medianoche el 31 de diciembre. Si se puede comer 12 uvas la persona recibe 12 meses be buena suerte.

We understand that it is a custom in Spain to try to eat 12 grapes on each stroke of midnight on 31st December (New Years' eve). If the person can eat 12 grapes they will get 12 months of good luck.

Here are two of our Y6 pupils each trying to eat 1 grape every time the bell strikes. They did it!!! They each ate 12 grapes.
